The MTV Video Music Awards is known for drama — but aside from one seriously weird Aretha Franklin tribute from Madonna, this year’s ceremony was actually pretty tame. Even the feud between Nicki Minaj and Travis Scott didn’t result in any on-screen awkwardness.
If you didn’t catch the 2½-hour telecast Monday night, here are all the highlights you need to know. (A complete list of winners and nominees is below.)
1) That Madonna speech.
Madonna apparently missed the memo that when you honor someone . . . you have to talk about them more than you talk about yourself. That did not happen during the pop star’s tribute to the late Aretha Franklin, as she went on about her own career struggles and triumphs, while her few mentions of the Queen of Soul looked like an afterthought. Read more about it here.
2) Plenty of footage of Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson.
Did you know that pop star Ariana Grande and “Saturday Night Live” comedian Pete Davidson are in love? If this fact somehow escaped you this summer, you would have no doubts after their PDA at the VMAs. Still acting like two crazy kids who got engaged after dating for three weeks, they were all over each other on the red carpet and cuddled together in their seats. The camera crew noticed, and made sure to get lots of reaction shots.
(CNN)Jenny from the block is now a part of MTV history.
Jennifer Lopez on Monday accepted the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the MTV Video Music Awards in New York City, with a rousing performance that took viewers through her two decades of discography, from her debut album “On the 6” to her most recent effort, “Dinero.” It was Lopez’s first time performing on the award show since 2001. A clearly emotional Lopez called the award “a tremendous honor.”
“It has been an incredible journey of dreaming my wildest dreams and then kind of watching them come true,” Lopez said in her speech.Image result for Jennifer Lopez rocks VMAs with journey through her musical past Lopez thanked her children, long-time management team and boyfriend Alex Rodriguez. Italian actress Asia Argento, who became a leading figure in the #MeToo movement after accusing powerhouse producer Harvey Weinstein of rape, paid hush money to a man who claimed she sexually assaulted him when he was 17, The New York Times reported.
The US$380,000 payment was made to Jimmy Bennett, an actor and rock musician, who claimed Argento assaulted him in a California hotel room in 2013, according to The Times, which cited documents sent to the paper by an unidentified party.
Bennett was two months past his 17th birthday at the time of the alleged encounter, while Argento was 37. The legal age of consent in California is 18. The pair are now 22 and 42 respectively.Image result for Weinstein accuser Asia Argento ‘paid child star Jimmy Bennett, who said she sexually assaulted him’
The newspaper said it had tried repeatedly without success to get a comment on the matter from Argento and her representatives. The terms of the deal including a payment schedule were finalised in April this year, according to the documents seen by The Times.
Among the documents it received was a selfie of the pair lying in bed dated May 9, 2013, that Bennett was supposed to hand over to Argento along with its copyright under the agreement. The Times cited three people familiar with the case as saying the documents were authentic.
The pair acted together in the 2004 film The Heart Is Deceitful Above All Things, in which Argento plays Bennett’s troubled mother.

Both me and my wife are equal to age. We're 32 years old now. We have two children too. Both of us are a public awareness. Both of us work space differently in the evening, morning and evening, and have eaten well well. Both of us have also been working together, although we have a problem of sexual intercourse. Sexual and sexual intercourse between me and my wife is different, I love having sex twice a night, but only my wife wants to be a mother-in-law. Can this be such? Is it possible to increase their desire for sex only once per night? What can be done for that? Next, my gender is a little smaller. Is not it because my gender is small due to lack of sex and does not feel like sex? What is the solution? What should the gender be? My wife says Mens hurts breast and low stomach since 10-12 days ago. And not even to chest, others do not. What is the solution? My wife's food is very high, does it affect some sexual life?

Dylan Farrow is getting into the book business by releasing two young adult novels.
The story is set in a fantasy world where those in control of society use magic to change the truth. The first book, “HUSH,” will hit stores in fall 2020.
The series will be published by Wednesday Books, which announced the news Friday. It is an imprint of St. Martin’s Press. Farrow is the daughter of Mia Farrow and Woody Allen.
Farrow has said Allen molested her in an attic in 1992 when she was 7 years old. Allen has long denied the claims and was investigated but not charged.
Earlier this year, Farrow gave her first on-camera interview to “CBS This Morning” about her allegations against the filmmaker.
Braving Europe’s heatwave, more than 150 Santas from around the world donned their heavy suits and full beards at their annual conference in Denmark.
As the 61st World Santa Claus Congress kicked off in Copenhagen, many of the delegates – from countries as far away as Japan and the United States – took a paddle in the sea, to the amusement of local bathers.
The three-day event will see the Santas visit the Little Mermaid statue during a parade and go head to head in the Santa Obstacle Course World Championships.
“Normally us Santas work alone,” said Santa Ian Tom, 67, from Scotland, who is attending his sixth congress this year.
“This is like a big family. But a family you get on with.”
For Santa Douglas, 60, from Washington D.C., attending his twelfth convention, it’s the international feel of the event that keeps luring him back.
“It’s interesting how when meeting others their culture starts to rub off on you and yours on them. For example, a lot of the Santa suits now are not the traditional gray Danish one. They’ve gone more American, which in a way is a shame.”
Nepathya is slated to return to the O2 Academy Brixton in London (after three years) for a live performance on September. The band members claim that they have something new to share with their fans, which they won’t reveal to us yet but if we had to bet, it’s probably a new song or a couple.
“Like always, we’ll carry the messages of love and hope from Nepal to the UK. Along with the songs we have been performing, we will also perform something fresh for the UK audience.” Amrit Gurung of Nepathya said.
This concert comes following their very successful shows at Dallas and Boston in the US and Tokyo in Japan, which took place earlier this year
Aug 25, 2018-Snakes are not man’s best friends. For all I know, most people cringe at the sight of them, and sometimes just the mention. I, on the other hand, love snakes. I work for snake conservation and my line of work brings me awfully close to these fascinating reptiles. Hence, a lot of my photography revolves around these
carnivorous creatures.
People are always curious about the challenges of being a wildlife photographer. It is true that nature is as dangerous as it is wonderful. When you venture into the wild, you don’t really know what’s in store for you. You have to be prepared, and you have to be fearless. The only way I could get good at this was by putting my fear aside and letting my passion lead the way.
Luckily for me, I am happier when I am out in the wild and I really enjoy capturing snakes with my camera. It is always enthralling. There are approximately 3,000 species of snakes in the world and each species comes with its own speciality. In this series, I have captured nine species that I encountered in Pokhara and Chitwan.

Speaking to the Post, artist Manish Lal Shrestha said that since the exhibit brings together a diverse range of expressions from various artists while also promoting them to interact with works created by each other—the exhibit was called Haptic Perception in reference to the word ‘haptic’ which is derived from the Greek, hapts, meaning ‘to grasp something.’
The exhibit features Erina Tamrakar’s Blind Eye, paintings that touch on the subject of gender discrimination and the necessary empowerment of women; Asha Dangol’s This is Modern, is a commentary on the deteriorating environment and rampant air pollution; and Bidhata KC’s expressive landscapes of the Mustang region. Manish Lal Shrestha’s paintings, Dot Arts, Green-Tara and Mona Lisa incorporate elements from pop art while Sandhya Silwal’s paper-cut art and Roshan Bhandari’s abstract works will not fail to regail.
Nepal (नेपाल) has its flag red with a blue border around the unique shape of two overlapping right triangles. The smaller, upper triangle has a white stylized moon and the larger and lower triangle displays a white 12-pointed sun. The color red represents the rhododendron (the National flower of Nepal) and the color red is sign of victory and bravery. The blue border signifies peace and harmony; the two right triangles are a combination of two single pennons (pennants) that originally symbolized the Himalaya Mountains. The moon represents the serenity of the Nepalese people and the shade and cool weather in the Himalayas, while the sun depicts the heat and higher temperatures of the lower parts of Nepal. The moon and the sun are also said to express the strong belief that the Nepal will be there in the earth as long as Sun and Moon are in the sky.
Nepal is the only country in the world with triangular flag.
